Title says it all really. I purchased a MAG 254 and a 1 yr sub with the intention of sending a friend a "ready to go" box as he's not particularly tech savvy.

Had it all set up and working fine at my house for a few days before boxing it back up and sending to him. He's hooked it all up but can't get it to connect to his wifi. I've tried talking him through and can't think of anything obvious we're missing.

I've gone into Network, Wifi, Auto and chosen his SSID from the list, then entered his password and saved. I've tried rebooting the device at this point and not rebooting and the result is the same - no internet connection.

In the network info page the link status is down and the ip address is blank.

Any advice gratefully accepted.

I am looking to get the most out of an iPTV service. I use Kodi right now on fire TV stick and Best Player on xbox one, but I wanna take advantage of everything that is offered.

I know magbox is popular and so are dreamlink and avov..

I was leaning towards dreamlink because it's android, but wasn't sure if it had any limitations that magbox would be better at. I'd have android apps installed, but don't wanna run myself short.

Is there anything magbox can do that dreamlink box's can't do?

It's pretty much unusable today! My internet is fine per speed tests (38 down, 5 up with ping under 50 ms). I'm ok a mag box, and no-one is home but me so I'm the only one using internet.

Is anyone else having freezing every few seconds? Does anyone have a suggestion to resolve this?

Just wondering if there are any aussies out there using IPGuys. If so, please let me know your experience or if you have any other IPTV recommendation.

I subscribed for one month (IPTVPlanet; IPGuys server) and have experienced a lot of buffering* on most English channels on a 100 down /40 up mbit connection which is why I am making this post.

note* - I have tried on a STB emulator and on Kodi (Stalker PVR)

I had questions about IPGUYS AND their service when I look online through Google it brings up a reseller that mentions Orange channel package is this IPGUYS? it seems to be the only one from what I can tell that works with Kodi it mentions also some other black diamond and emerald packages. I've been very dissatisfied with IPTVsubs lately and I'm looking for the most stable provider not really caring too much about HD quality or any type of sports mainly want entertainment channels. I use Kodi exclusively as I have multiple devices and it seems to be the best way to switch from TV to TV.

This service is utter shit. I've been using it on and off for about 6 months, and I've had nothing but problems with it. First off, half the channels just simply don't load.
For example, recently I've been using it for the ITV channels, channel 4, and BBC, but half of the times these channels just simply don't work, or work very slowly with stuttering. On my Kodi app, I simply switch to free alternatives (such as FilmOn), and all the channels work flawlessly. How on earth is filmon able to provide these channels for free flawlessly, when the service I PAY for struggles to load the same channels without buffering? It's insane. Next up, all the HBO and Sky TV Movie channels. Good luck with these, most of the time they simply don't work. At all. News channels are touch and go, some work some don't, It's a complete toss up. Sports channels I can't comment on because I don't watch sports, but based on what I've read others are having issues on these channels too.

The guide doesn't work, AT ALL. It stopped working months ago and they never fixed it. You have to use a third-party program guide on Kodi or you're out of luck (god help you if you're using something like a Mag box) I want to comment on support as well. Support is very poor. Just read some of the comments on IPTVtalk about how the people at NFPS/Rocket/IKS simple don't respond to support emails. Lastly, constant server issues will get you stuck in "authentication error" or "unable to load channels" a lot, even when all your information is correct.

Save yourself the hassle, and stay away from this IPTV server (they are all the same provider, just different names).

Has anyone had trouble contacting the guys at Premium-ip.tv? I recently purchased a 2 month account and received no login details or instructions and Im getting no reply from the contact email.

I just installed a 16Gb USB formatted FAT32 into my MAG254 and would like to know if it is possible to use/record 5 hours behind into it? I am using IPGuys as Service Provider.

I really like the service and reliability from IPGuys, I have a MAG 254 and would like to watch all channels in 16:9 format, is it possible? Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

I've had issues of service transfer between resellers before... Thankfully just using an emulator so no big deal getting a new one. But I worry if I get a mag and run into the same issue I'll have a paperweight.

So it's taking me a couple months to feel comfortable paying someone "$12" to get a service which is just a stream of live stations. Not knowing the reliability and having to just jump right in.

First thing. I wasn't sure exactly how IPTV worked or hoe to set it up. So I ordered a Mag254 and signed up for my IPTV service. I used IPTVplanet.ca (I GUYS server) I payed with PayPal and they sent me my info and a how to video to set it up in xbmc using stalker client. I got the streams working but could get EPG working. I asked for help and they said it's not possible in Kodi. So I tried some things on my own and got it to work. Not help from customer support. I'm looking forward to my Mag254 box to arrive Friday so I can set it up. Hopefully it's not to complicated

If I could give one piece of advice about iptv to someone who is wondering if it's for them. You probably won't get good tech support so you have to be willing to figure it out yourself.

I've been using IPGuys and while the streams are great, there are a few channels that are Canadian based (example: HGTV). The Canadian HGTV stream is different than the US stream (lots of "House Hunters: Vancouver")

Are there any providers that have US based channel streams only?

Hi everyone, first time posting here, I have a Samsung UHD TV, I used to have a IPTV provider using the app SmartIPTV, I don't have any other equipment, just the app, I was wondering if Myiptvstore has support for SmartTV's, because I will need a m3u file for the channels, does anyone know if they provide that service? And if not any other you could recommend me?
