I am relatively new to the concept of IPTV despite being a massive networking nerd based in the UK; Having never gotten into have been a bit lost as to where to start I understand absolutely how IPTV works on the technical side of things (transfer of UDP packets etc.) however I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on the situation surrounding the legallity given that a large number of streams look dodgy as hell etc; - To put it concisely I live in a shared house without access to an aerial; however have a HTPC ready to go with Kodi; and a decent broadband connection - My goal is to have a Sky style setup using the PVR client on Kodi (I can't stand individual apps - Having amalgamated Netflix/Amazon into Kodi) which I will achieve via an M3U8 and XML file respectively. Question is are there any well known LEGITIMATE services that do this? I'm happy to pay towards it and in terms of channel list's I'm mostly looking for UK Freeview, a couple of US News Channels and a couple of Romanian channels (missus gets homesick.) As I say I am happy to pay for it as a service but it absolutely must be above board legitimate and reliable. If anyone could let me know if this possible and point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Hello everyone, One of our clients is looking for a multicast encoder, I dont much about the technical specifications, it's an regular encoder (I guess) to have multicast IP converted to RTMP for as many channles as possible (maybe 500 channles??) Any recommendations ??

I’m using Tivimate on my fire tv box. Ever since I added it I keep getting messages about storage being out on my fireTV. Even after I have moved every app (that I can) to an SD card, most apps still use a lot of storage on the internal fireTV drive.

Am I using so much storage only from the epg? What other settings of iptv use storage? Is there a way I can make apps store all the info on the SD card? Or anything I might have missed ?

Edit for future readers:

Apparently the dev added some checks for cracked versions which make the epg refuse to clear / erase. So if this is happening to you, you probably have a cracked versions and should find a way to get a legitimate version for $5/yr or $20/life

My main 46 inch tv is connected to NVidia Shield. It buffers about once every minute. My other smaller tv (20"?) with a Firestick doesn't buffer. I put them both on the same channel. Main tv is directly connected to my modem. Firestick is wifi. Makes no sense to me. Any suggestions?

Hi I have an Nvidia Shield Pro which is great for apks and casual casting. However, I'm looking for a box where the UI is very slick and can do scheduled (multiple) recordings. I have a Zgemma i55 plus but it is extremely temperamental and constantly crashes. Is the best of enigma boxes like this or is there anything similar that's just as good?

I just found out I qualify for an Internet at 9.99 per month as I have been sick and not working. Speeds of up to 25 megabits per second (where available) and up to 300 gigabits of data per month. Is this enough power to run an android box or other streaming service so I can get rid of my cable? My cable and tv currently is approximately $200 month.

I don’t know anything about fire sticks and all the other items available.

Hi i have to buy a new iptv box and i thinking about nvidia shild pro or formuler z8 which is the best box the fastest ?

I need your help guys as I’m getting confused.

Over the past years I’ve tried different boxes an different apps and now I feel the need to impove the way I watch my IPTV.

My issues:

• with 4000 channels and VOD movies I find it hard to scroll through channels. I need something with a great interface and good layout (similar to mytvonline that formuler provides - just watched on YouTube but looks amazing)
• possibly recording functionality
• epg support
• automatic updates of the list (no more manual m3u pair changing)

What do you suggest guys? What should I go with?

So do many of you use a vpn or is it blown out of proportion? I’ve heard conflicting information that VPN’s are a good idea but some say they are not needed because typically the authorities would not come after users only distributors

I’m new to the IPTV scene and I have noticed that streams from an M3U playlist randomly stop working. My IPTV provider supports Xtream code login and the channels ALAWAYS work via xtream login but break with M3u playlist.

It doesn’t matter the player I use, they all just stop working. What causes this?

My issue is that I am leveraging m3u4u to customize my playlist and also the EPG because my providers epg is not that great and it looks like I cannot use and xtream playlist and m3u4u epg in my TiviMate app. The channels don’t seem to update.

I'm new to iptv and I have a firestick and a newer Sony Bravia smart TV that runs Android that I've been using for iptv the last few days. I'm using the tivimate app on both.

They both run it pretty well but every 20 minutes or so then I experience some buffering and then it continues to work for 20 minutes then buffer and so on.

So I'm curious if a more powerful streaming device (Nvidia shield or firestick 4k) would bring a smoother experience

Edit: Thanks for all the replies and suggestions people. On my firestick I uninstalled a few apps I don't use and cleared the cache on all the others, no buffering or issues today.

On my Sony smart TV I connected an ethernet cable and so far so good but I haven't watched as much in there today so I'll be in wait and see mode for the time being.

hi there! Is it ok if I ask in this reddit page what is the fastest / most probably VPN?

Currently I have Android TV's. There are IPTV clients installed and configured on all of them. Each time another app is loaded (Netflix/YouTube/etc) the app hibernates then re-establishes it's connection on demand. It's not as as seamless as I'd like it to be and definitely slower then preferred performance.

I'd like to avoid each app on each TV having to update it own separate EPG every week. Is there a piece of hardware I can put on my network to maintain a 100% uptime and keep the EPG up to date? Then aggregate the connections to each TV?

I feel like this would speed up load times on the IPTV apps. Thoughts?

I tried couple of links to install stbemu on my firestick 4k but after installation I cant launch the app. Can someone post working apk link here or PM me? Do I need to install a specific version for firestick 4k?

OK so i'm playing around with M3U4U hoping to create a cleaner playlist with just the channels I want with logos, etc.

My question is the provider has lots of duplicate channels, some that don't work or are in SD, I want to make sure im only adding the best one/the one with EPG date to my custom playlist but dont know the best way to double check that. Is it best to just manually check as I go? Is there a simpler way to do what I want to do?

Hi everyone! I was considering purchasing an appletv 5th gen for my home and I was wondering if it was comparable to use as an IPTV as well. I read on some sites that apps such as IPTVX and GSE Smart IPTV Pro work with 4th gen but nothing about 5th gen. Can someone confirm if these apps work on 5th gen as well? I’m trying to set up a new service with sapphire, since gamemaster disappeared months ago we’ve been without an IPTV. Anyone have any thoughts as to why every payment method I try is declined? Have tried 3 CCs, with and without a VPN running. All info matches, believe me I’ve triple checked my membership and card info and even updated my Apple Pay info. Their site declines every payment method I try, no option for PPal. Ive had a support ticket open for a couple hours with no response
